Bobby Sparrow Blue joint Winner of the first ever puissance for pure bred connemara ponies at Clifden 2009. The competition going five rounds ending at the hieght of 145cm. Winning Bobby a new army of fans who enjoyed the performance of the little pony with the big heart. One week later at Oughterardhe was the outright winner of the Derby completing 20 natural fences confirmining his many talants as an all round Connemara pony.
A Grandson of one of the most famous connemaras of all time. Carna Bobby won Clifden the `Premium Connamara Pony Show of Ireland` FIVE times.He was the most famous sire with a huge number of grade A prodgeny and Show Champions. Most notabily `Ashfield Bobby Sparrow` who was Champion European Show Jumping Pony for Ireland. Today many good grade A connemaras go back to him. He stamped them with quality, wonderful temperment, big canter, BIG heart, beautiful heads and flowing movement. These are all present in our very own Bobby Sparrow Blue.

Bobby Sparrow Blue has had a few great achievements recently. On the 21st August 2009 he was joint winner of the first ever Puissance for Pure Bred Connemara Ponies at the home of the Connemara Pony, Clifden, in Connemara, Co. Galway. The competition went to 5 rounds with the wall going to 145cm high. The rider who steered him with such precision was Darren Walsh. The following Saturday at Oughterard, Co. Galway he was outright winner of the Derby class. This class had 20 obstacles including ditches, banks, a stile, drops and of course, Bobby's favourite, the wall.
